Sounds like a blocked filter in the transmission. Get an Automatic Transmission Specialist or local mechanic to change the filter and fluid for $250 and its most likely to work again perfectly. It attracts water, breaks down, the boiling point lowers (boiling brake fluid is not fun if you need to panic stop), and the brake pedal feel becomes more smushy.
